BitPay Launches One-Tap Crypto Purchases via Apple Pay and Google Pay
BitPay rolls out a streamlined in-app crypto buying feature powered by MoonPay, supporting Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards, and SEPA in 100+ countries.
BitPay, which bills itself as the world's longest-operating cryptocurrency payments company, has unveiled a one-tap crypto purchasing experience within its mobile wallet application, the Atlanta-based firm announced. The new feature is powered by MoonPay and is available to eligible BitPay Wallet users across more than 100 countries.
The updated checkout flow supports multiple payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, traditional debit and credit cards, and SEPA bank transfers, broadening access for users in North America, Europe, and beyond. The integration is designed to reduce friction at the point of purchase, condensing what had previously required multiple steps into a single tap.

The announcement reflects a broader industry push to lower barriers for retail crypto acquisition, as wallet providers compete to simplify onboarding for new and existing users alike. BitPay's move adds familiar consumer payment interfaces — already common in e-commerce — to the cryptocurrency buying process.
